Avanza Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to Avanza, a personal finance app operated by AI 4U Labs. Avanza is designed to help Latino and Hispanic consumers understand spending, balances, bills, budgets, savings goals, and related financial patterns.

This policy covers information collected through the Avanza app, Avanza-related support channels, and the Avanza pages on ai4u.space.

Account information: name, email address, app settings, language preferences, support messages, and account status.

Financial account information: if you choose to connect a financial institution through Plaid Link, Avanza may receive account names, account type, masked account numbers, account balances, transaction history, merchant names, categories, dates, and related account metadata.

Usage and device information: app interactions, device type, diagnostics, crash logs, approximate region, and technical logs needed to operate and secure the app.

Avanza does not receive or store your financial institution username or password. Credential collection is handled by Plaid or your financial institution through the connection flow.

We use information to provide Avanza features, including connected-account views, transaction categorization, budgeting, bill awareness, cash-flow summaries, savings insights, financial goal tracking, and customer support.

We may use aggregated or de-identified information to improve app reliability, measure feature usage, debug issues, and understand product performance.

We do not sell personal financial data. We do not use Plaid-connected financial account data for advertising or unrelated third-party marketing.

Connecting a bank account is optional. Before account data is accessed, Avanza presents a Plaid Link flow where you can review the institution, account selection, and data permissions.

By connecting an account, you authorize Plaid and Avanza to access the selected information needed to provide Avanza's finance features.

You may disconnect a linked account in Avanza when available or contact hello@ai4u.space for assistance with removal and deletion requests.

Plaid: we use Plaid to enable user-authorized bank account connectivity.

Service providers: we may share information with infrastructure, analytics, authentication, customer support, hosting, database, security, and app operations providers that help us run Avanza.

Legal and safety purposes: we may disclose information when required by law, legal process, or to protect users, AI 4U Labs, Avanza, or others from fraud, abuse, or security threats.

Business transfers: if Avanza or AI 4U Labs is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset transfer, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to appropriate protections.

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably needed to provide Avanza, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, and maintain security.

Connected account data is retained while your Avanza account or linked connection remains active, unless a longer retention period is required for security, legal, audit, or dispute-resolution purposes.

You can request deletion of your Avanza account data by emailing hello@ai4u.space. We will verify the request and delete or de-identify eligible data according to our retention and deletion procedures.

Avanza is prepared with documented security controls covering access management, encryption, vulnerability management, retention, incident response, and least-privilege operational practices.

We use transport encryption for data in transit and encryption at rest where supported by our infrastructure providers. Access to production systems is limited to authorized personnel with a business need.

No system can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure. If we identify a security issue affecting your information, we will respond according to our incident response procedures and applicable law.

You may choose not to connect a financial account. Some Avanza features may be limited without connected account data.

You may request access, correction, deletion, or portability of eligible personal information by contacting us at hello@ai4u.space.

Depending on your location, you may have additional privacy rights under state or federal privacy laws. We will respond to verified requests as required by applicable law.

Avanza is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Avanza, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

We may update this Privacy Policy as Avanza changes. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide notice as appropriate through the app, website, or email.
