Link to Heaven ("the App") is a memorial and tribute application developed by Edison Joao ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use the App.

Account Information

• Name -- used to personalize your experience and identify you to other memorial members.
• Email address -- used for account creation, authentication, and important account-related communications.

User-Generated Content

• Photos and videos -- uploaded by you to memorials you create or contribute to.
• Text content -- memorial descriptions, posts, comments, letters, and tributes you write.
• Audio -- voice notes you record and upload to memorials.

Usage Data

• Analytics -- anonymized data about how you interact with the App (screens visited, features used, session duration). This helps us improve the experience.
• Device information -- device type, operating system version, and app version for compatibility and debugging purposes.
• Crash reports -- automatically collected to help us identify and fix issues.

Purchase Information

• Transaction records -- managed by Apple through StoreKit. We receive confirmation of purchases but do not process or store payment card information.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the App
• Create and manage your account
• Display memorials and user-generated content to authorized members
• Send you reminders about memorial dates (birthdays, anniversaries) that you have set up
• Process in-app purchases (via Apple StoreKit)
• Analyze usage patterns to improve features and fix bugs
• Respond to support requests

4. Third-Party Services

Link to Heaven uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase (Google) -- for user authentication, cloud database (Firestore), file storage (Cloud Storage), push notifications (FCM), and analytics. Firebase's privacy policy is available at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
• Apple StoreKit -- for processing in-app purchases and subscriptions. Apple's privacy policy is available at apple.com/privacy.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

Your memorial content (photos, posts, tributes) is shared only with people you have invited to that memorial. Private memorials are visible only to their members.

We may share information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Firebase (Google Cloud) infrastructure, which employs industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest.

While we implement reasonable security measures, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data and user-generated content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data and the memorials you created within 30 days, unless retention is required by law.

Content you contributed to memorials created by others (comments, reactions) may persist as part of those memorials after your account deletion.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data stored in the App
• Update your account information at any time through the App settings
• Delete your account and associated data through the App settings or by contacting us
• Export your data by contacting us at the email below

9. Children's Privacy

Link to Heaven is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will promptly delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify users through the App if the changes are significant.
